Greg Winston graduated from Chief Sealth High School in Seattle where he played Varsity baseball as an infielder. In 1982 they came in 5th at state. For 12 years he played shortstop for his Seattle Times team from 1984 until 1996. After that he was a shortstop/pitcher for a Men's A Fastpitch Division team from 1997 until 2005. From 2003 until 2005 Greg coached his son Mark in Little League and Babe Ruth. In 2006 he served as a Little League umpire. Then he coached daughters Jennie and Janna in girls Minors and Majors Little League softball for 2 seasons. He also coached daughter Joy in Little League Majors for 2 seasons from 2012 until 2013. From 2009 until 2016 Greg became involved in coaching select fastpitch for daughters Jennie and Joy. Altogether Greg has coached at the 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U levels for the Snohomish Shock, NW Sidewinders, and NW Batbusters programs.
Greg retired from the Seattle times after 25 years. Currently Greg is a business owner and has been a professional Farrier since 2001.
Greg and Dawn have been married for 29 years. They have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
